Ongoing, person-centred support focused on life skills and the practical steps toward independence, delivered via telehealth across Australia.
My capacity building work centres on adolescents and young adults, aged 12 and above, who are working toward greater independence in their daily lives. Rather than a fixed program, sessions are shaped around each person's own goals, whether that's building a new routine, strengthening a specific life skill, or preparing for a bigger transition ahead.
I take the same client-driven approach here as I do with assessment work: listening first to what matters most to the person, then working alongside them, and often their family or wider support team, to make steady, meaningful progress.
Practical, everyday skills that support independence at home and in the community.
Support navigating the shift from adolescence into more independent, adult routines and responsibilities.
Building consistent routines and the confidence to carry out everyday tasks independently.
Working toward goals that help clients engage more fully with the activities and community around them.
Example: Practicing a Purchase at the Store (money & social skills), coached over video call with real-life practice in between
On our video call, we choose what to buy and set a small budget, using pictures or a simple list.
We work through counting money and understanding change together, right there on the call.
Between sessions, I prepare a structured task and simple coaching notes for a parent or support worker, so they can guide you through that same practice, like the store exchange, when the moment comes.
Next session, we talk through what went well and what to try differently next time.
